Diamond's Diary
30th October 2016

5th November 2016
This afternoon a lady whose greyhound passed away a few months back and her other elderly dog passed away a couple of months ago visited to look at the greyhounds with a view to adopting one. She'd always wanted another greyhound but thought it unfair on her older dog to have a new one in the house at the same time.
We showed her those looking to be re-homed and she chose Diamond. She was going to come back for her another day, but then asked if she could take her straight away, and because all was well she did. We didn't have Diamond very long so we will miss her sweet nature and her playfulness and we wish her a long and happy life in her new home.
During the evening we received a phone call letting us know they got home okay. She'd had a walk, eaten her tea and did all she had to do in the yard outside.
6th November 2016
We received a phone call this morning letting us know Diamond was okay. She was a bit anxious and clingy last night but that's to be expected when her first night in her new home is the 5th November and fireworks going off.
She slept well last night, has learn't to master the stairs, but needed a guiding hand on the way down, has been in the car to get her new name disc and enjoyed her walks today.
