Greyhounds in long-term fosterer homes:

ARE YOU ABLE TO TEMPORARILY FOSTER A GREYHOUND FOR US?

Fosterers are a valuable part of greyhound rescue in that another greyhound is living life away from the kennels and taking the first steps towards getting used to the family way of life. If you live in the South Lakes or the surrounding area and would like to foster a greyhound until we can find him or her a new home.
please contact Jenny or Stuart

Belle is a small black ex-racing greyhound who is small dog friendly and cat trainable. She walks nicely on the lead and travels well in a car, is spayed, inoculated and microchipped. Having lived in the house since arriving here she's almost house trained.

Went to her new home on Sunday 5th March 2017.

Belle's Diary
25th February 2017

5th March 2017
This afternoon Belle went off to her new home where we hope she will have a long and happy life.
We heard later from Belle's new owner that she is currently in her own bed, Peter, their son has given her his beloved Ben 10 blanket too so she can smell his scent whilst she sleeps.
They're going to introduce her to Scat-Cat tomorrow. He was sat on the window sill outside when Belle's owner took her out into the garden (without her muzzle). She jumped up and put her front paw onto the sill for a nosey. Scat-Cat hissed and spat at her... She stepped down and walked on by. Fingers crossed that it will be the same and as successful tomorrow.
10th June 2017
We received a message today letting us know that Belle is doing really well. Scat-Cat and her are fine with each other. She very happily let's him eat in peace without taking his food. Unless he walks away from it.....
