PRAYER FOR THE DEATH OF A PET
"Lord God, to those who never had a pet, this prayer will sound strange, but to you, Lord of all life and creator of all creature, it will be understandable.
My heart is heavy as I face the loss in death of our beloved one who was so much a part of our lives.
This pet made our life more enjoyable and gave us cause to laugh and to find joy in his (her) company.
I remember the fidelity and loyalty of our loved on and will miss him (her) being with us. From him (her) we learned many lessons such as the quality of naturalness and the unembarrassed request for affection.
In caring for his (her) daily needs, we were taken up and out of our own self-needs and thus learned to service another.
May the death of this creature of yours remind us that death comes to all of us, animal and human, and it is the natural passage for all life.
May our loved one sleep in an eternal slumber in your Godly care as all creation awaits the fullness of liberation.

13th October 2011 following a tumour on his back leg.

following a seizure.

Sadly Freddie passed away on Saturday 16th October 2010
after a short illness following the diagnosis of
an invasive cancer in his front leg.

(Age: 11 years 4 months and 11 days old)

with a heart of gold who everyone will miss including
all visitors whom he greeted with a bark. Your guardian angel
steered you our way and it was an honour to have known you.

following a tragic accident when he was kicked by a cow.

a short illness of bone cancer in his left shoulder.

from internal bleeding 2½ weeks after his operation to remove
both a testicle with a tumor and an ovary found inside him.

following the diagnosis of a cancerous growth on her hind leg.

Everyone will miss you gentle Izzy including your favourite cat
who loved to cuddle up with you and the chickens will wonder
why you no longer lay amongst them in the paddock.

following the diagnosis of a cancerous mass in her chest.

Sadly Joe passed away on the 24th January 2007
from a sudden heart attack and died on the way to the vets.

We only met twice Joe when we re-homed you then did the
follow-up but your sweet nature went straight to our hearts.
Our thoughts are with you sweet Joe as you run with the angels.

during an operation to repair his leg after he broke it
whilst running in long grass and bracken.

Sadly Penny passed away in the early hours of Monday the 16th February 2004. She had been visably ill since the Thursday and deteriorated daily until she passed away from liver failure.

You gave us 200% love, affection and loyalty and
our tribute to you is this web site. Without you our darling Penny
we wouldn't have considered fostering or the helping of others.
Loosing you darling Penny has left a void in our hearts because we lost our best friend.

IN MEMORIUM
Sadly George passed away on the 28th July 1997
as he was coming
round from the anasthetic following an
operation to remove the
infection in his chest caused by debris
that was lodged there. The
vet believed he may have suffered
from pneumonia or other serious
illness at some time, which
he managed to recover from but it left
his heart weak.
He had been with us just 3½ months.
Died 28th July 1997

we shall forever be thankful to you for introducing
us to such wonders as yourself.
